Admissions

What Sets Us Apart

A Program Designed for Success

Gloria’s House is here for you as a refuge for recovery, renewal, and reconnection. Our admissions team is here to answer any questions you have and to get your started on the process.

Active Withdrawal and Detoxification
Candidates for the Recovery Residence at Gloria’s House must not be experiencing active withdrawal symptoms and/or must have successfully completed a detoxification program. Additionally, if they are transitioning from a residential program, they should have completed that program prior to applying for admission.
Residents are expected to fully commit to their treatment journey while residing at the Recovery Residence. This includes adhering to the rules and structure of the program, participating in scheduled activities, and actively engaging in the recovery process.
Living in a recovery residence is rooted in shared responsibility and communal living. Residents must demonstrate a willingness to engage with others and should avoid isolating themselves. This commitment fosters a supportive environment essential for recovery.
Residents should be ambulatory, meaning that they are capable of independently getting on and off a van. Transportation will be provided for trips to treatment sessions, and any physical limitations that hinder participation in house activities should be disclosed upfront.
It is important that potential residents do not have any major physical limitations that could hinder their ability to participate in house activities. This ensures that all residents can engage fully in community life.
Potential residents must be willing to disclose any legal issues or concerns. This information is crucial as it may affect one’s ability to reside at the facility, and transparency is vital for the safety and support of all residents.
Residents need to provide a complete list of all current medications and demonstrate a willingness to collaborate with residence staff regarding the management and administration of these medications during their stay. This collaboration is essential for ensuring the well-being of all residents.
While having a mental health diagnosis does not outright disqualify an individual from receiving treatment, it is essential for residents to be capable of participating in a structured community environment. They must be able to interact positively with others and engage in group activities.
The Recovery Residence at Gloria’s House does not offer bilingual support. Therefore, potential residents must be proficient in English to effectively communicate with both housemates and treatment staff. This ensures clear and effective communication critical for recovery.
Residents are required to demonstrate a commitment to their recovery by regularly attending recovery meetings while living in the residence. Participation in these meetings plays a vital role in fostering personal growth and community support.
